In these two experiments, I had a point traveling along a curve that goes through a bounding box and random jitter points. And I connected them to spheres. In the first one, when the moving sphere gets close to the random points, their sizes change.

In this one, I created vectors from the moving point to other random points. The vectors then change in direction when the point moves along the curve.
